Thank you to everyone who got in touch last Friday to offer help and support. I feel very grateful, supported, and optimistic about the future.
Starting off with something that’s not my news, but is too exciting not to share. Toria made her first sale for her blind wine tasting business Wine Should Not Be Stressful! Her wine tasting kits are a snobbery-free way to learn a bit more about wine, and each other, on a date night or at a dinner party. Local delivery only for now (Kingston, Richmond, Teddington).
As for me, this week I have really enjoyed decompressing.
- It’s the first full week of the summer holidays so I’ve hung out with the kids a lot. You’ve got to take these opportunities when they come up!
- I’ve watched a lot of Olympics. Tom Pidcock and Alex Yee gave such gutsy, inspiring performances. And the BMX freestyle blew my mind. The kids are really into it all as well, which is a joy.
- I did spot my dream job: Director of Consumer Insights and Innovation at Brooks Running. Worth moving to Seattle for if they’ll have me.
- I finished my last essay for the year for MSc Behaviour Change.
- I paddleboarded with Salesforce Ignite colleagues Sam and Richard. It was very fun to show them my little section of the Thames and chat through what could be next for us all.
- Had a lovely Greek dinner with Lee and Henry. Greek food is the most underrated in Europe. Prove me wrong.
