Weeknotes VII. Time on my hands.
Pergola and clouds.Pergola and clouds.

I've missed Weeknotes for two weeks in a row for one reason: I haven't wanted to share the biggest news. So, here it is so I can resume normal service. The Ignite team at Salesforce is being disbanded and I'm figuring out what's next. Currently I'm in the market for coffees with interesting folk. Is that you? Drop me a note and let's hang out.

Also, if you need some excellent, strategic product designers, strategists, or researchers, in London, Amsterdam, Munich, or Paris, let me know. There is some great talent about to hit the market.

This week I have:

  • It's not my achievement but my eldest finished his first year of school. Gosh.
  • I had a coffee and long overdue catch up with Gideon Hyde, one of the most interesting of folks. He suggested that figuring out what to do next should probably involve getting out of familiar surroundings. Solid advice that I am following.
  • Worked more on my MSc Behaviour Change essay on what stops people from adopting AI tools. This is super interesting, not always obvious, and I will write a non-academic blog post on it.
  • On that, I compiled a list of blogs I will write now I've got some time on my hands. Do any of these sound interesting? Let me know.
    • Everything I know about designing a workshop
    • Everything I know about teaming
    • How to start a project well
    • How to help insights land
    • Typology of workspaces
    • How to suppress the hero urge.
    • Building platforms
    • Something on copying/being original/best practice - when should you use what's already there and when should you push beyond? (Doing an MSc is changing my thinking around this).
  • Started using Clay to get a bit better at keeping in touch with people and maybe stop scrolling LinkedIn so much. (I find LinkedIn to be the worst timesuck of all social networks because you–well, I–can far more easily kid yourself that it's productive).
  • Made some tweaks to my website. Portfolio coming soon!
  • Nearly finished the decking in the back garden. Nearly!
